Most people who wear glasses and contact lenses wish that they did not have to.  Now, thanks to LASIK eye surgery, there is an alternative to reduce your dependence on glasses or contact lenses, or possibly eliminate them completely. LASIK is short for laser-assisted in-situ keratomileusis. The goal of LASIK is to produce clearer, sharper vision. This procedure is now considered to be one of the safest and most effective means of correcting vision problems available today. Good results, together with a high success rate, has encouraged millions of patients to undergo LASIK to correct their far-sightedness, near-sightedness, or astigmatism problems.

You should make a well-informed decision when choosing this treatment. Refractive or laser eye surgery can affect the rest of your life and should not be embarked upon lightly.  If you are considering it then you need to weigh out the risks and benefits, the costs and in particular your choice of a surgeon.

What is laser eye surgery?  What type of equipment will the surgeon be using? What is the difference between LASIK and Custom LASIK?  How do I locate a good surgeon?  These are just a few of the questions that people ask about laser eye surgery.  Dr. Webb can answer these questions and also help you decide if LASIK is right for you.

Dr. Webb can evaluate and determine whether you are a good candidate for LASIK surgery.  He can then do all the necessary testing for your surgeon before your surgery date.  When you decide to have Webb Eye Care manage your LASIK, we coordinate all of your visits for pre and post operative evaluations, and keep in close contact with your surgeon to best monitor your needs.

After surgery, you may be seen by Dr. Webb for all of your post-op evaluations and care.  There is no extra cost involved for the post management care, for that is included in the procedure cost.
